Hi, I'm Lisa. I officially founded High Tide in 2016. Having worked as a marketing freelancer / contractor for over a year, I realised a significant need in the market for experienced marketing professionals who can (and like to) do both strategy and execution to help small businesses and startups with limited resources grow through better marketing and strategy.
I’m an experienced and highly motivated marketing professional with a can do attitude and a track-record of delivering tangible results. I like strategic thinking and planning but also really enjoy getting my hands dirty and executing. I love working with small and medium-sized businesses and startups and have a special passion for all things digital, technology and innovation.
I thrive in situations where resources are limited and creative thinking and problem solving are must have skills.
I have a Masters Degree from the University of Auckland. For the past 12 years I have held several marketing roles in high growth Startups and Kiwi SMEs including being Marketing Manager at business growth centre The Icehouse and software distributor Right Connect and most recently being Head of Marketing for software startup Blerter. In mid 2015 I started working as a marketing freelancer and have since worked on short and mid-term projects with a range of clients including technology businesses, e-commerce companies, importers & distributors and marketing agencies. My point of difference is my all-round experience and skill-set as well as my ability to learn quickly and add value with little supervision and guidance. I believe that, at a time where many marketing functions are getting more and more technical and specialised, it is getting harder for smaller businesses, who cannot afford to engage several different specialists, to really leverage marketing opportunities. I have extensive knowledge of and experience in all the common marketing tactics. While there are certainly people who know more about individual areas of marketing, these people tend to lack knowledge in other key areas. My level of knowledge will be more than enough for most Kiwi SMEs and thanks to my extensive network I can connect my clients to specialists if they do need one.
